Maria T Gentile, DO
Maria T. Gentile, DO received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 and her Master’s of Science degree in 1988 from Wagner College. She worked as a Clinical Microbiologist for 10 years and did breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for 3 years before attending medical school.
Dr. Gentile graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine where she remained an extra year to train in and teach OMM as a Pre-Doctoral Teaching Fellow under Richard Koss, DO. After an AOA Traditional Internship, she completed an OMM Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, NY with Dr. Hugh Ettlinger. Dr. Gentile is board certified in both NMM/OMM and in Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Gentile moved to Denver, Colorado to work with Dr. Harold Magoun, Jr. before opening a private practice in 2004. She founded Colorado Osteopathic and Integrative Medicine Associates in 2006, where she served as Director until her retirement in December 2020.
She has been CME Committee Chair, Vice President and a Trustee for the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine (CSOM). She was also Program Chair and lecturer for several CSOM conferences. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Osteopathy, Osteopathic Cranial Academy, and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM).
Dr. Gentile was Director for the 2013 and 2022 OCA Annual Conferences. She is Co-Director of the Fluid Course and the Intro to the Fluid Course. Dr. Gentile has served as Chair of the OCA Annual Conference Committee and Chair of the Continuing Studies Committee. She served on the OCA Board of Directors from 2017 to 2025. She served as Secretary of the OCA Board in 2025. Dr. Gentile is teaching faculty for the OCA Introductory and Hybrid Introductory Courses, and has been a member of the Annual Conference, Continuing Studies, Introductory Course, and Marketing Committees, as well as the Online Education Task Force.
Dr. Gentile practiced traditional Osteopathic medicine in an integrative group practice. Throughout her career, Dr. Gentile was dedicated to the integration of traditional and alternative medical treatment in supporting her patients along their journey toward health. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado with her family.
