Course Description
This course is a didactic presentation with the opportunity for live audience participation.
The activity will address osteopathic clinician’s, as well as other practicing clinician’s, needs to improve knowledge, competence and/or performance for the clinical application of OMT, especially OCMM in medical practice by leveraging the principles of osteopathic medicine.
In the pediatric population and in populations of patients with pain, brain damage, and other neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, there is increasing evidence the OMT clinically applied can be of benefit to these patients and this course describes the research providing the evidence, a vital need in medical practice today. This course includes discussion on the variety of treatment types and conditions for which patients may benefit.
This on-demand webcast will offer participants the opportunity to learn the evidence base for the clinical application of OMT generally, and osteopathic cranial manipulative medicine (OCMM) in particular. This program presents for the first time new research carried out with advanced imaging technologies introduced only in the last five years.
