Dr. Kimberly J. Wolf, DO, FAAP, FACOP, FAAPO  is a graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ and Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), Pomona, CA. She is board-certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Wolf completed a dually-accredited Pediatric Residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Doctors Hospital, Columbus, OH. She is currently an Associate Professor of OMM and Director of Pediatric OMM at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Research Director for Osteopathy's Promise to Children. Dr. Wolf is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatric Osteopathy, and the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. She is a member of the AOA, AAO, ACOP, AAP, AAPO, and OCA  and holds leadership positions within most of these organizations.

Dr. Hiserote, DO, is a graduate of Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, CA., and is board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromuscular Medicine. Additionally, he holds Osteopathic Cranial Academy Certification of Proficiency, and is a Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine Costin scholar.  Dr. Hiserote is a veteran director of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field courses at the Osteopathy’s Promise to Children and internationally. He has served as Associate Professor/past Chairman of the Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine - Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Department. and currently practices osteopathy in his private office in Sebastopol, CA. Dr. Hope Tobey, DO, FAAPO, FAAP, FACOP, is a graduate of Messiah University in Grantham, PA and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. She is Board Certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Tobey completed an osteopathic internship at Heart Of Lancaster in Litiz, PA, and a pediatric residency at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital in Hershey, PA. She completed her ONMM “Plus One” residency at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Blacksburg VA.  Dr. Tobey currently practices as an Osteopathic Pediatrician and Professor of OMM and Pediatrics at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Blacksburg VA. Dr. Tobey is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Osteopathy, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. Dr. Brian Loveless, DO, is a graduate of University of California, San Diego, CA and Western University of Health Sciences (COMP), Pomona, CA. He is Board Certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (AOBNMM). Dr. Loveless completed an internship and a residency in Family Practice and ??NMM/OMM+1 Residency at Chino Valley Medical Center, Chino, CA. Dr. Loveless is the Chief Medical Officer and Associate Professor of NMM/OMM and Family Medicine and was Vice Chair, Department of NMM/OMM at Western University of Health Sciences. He currently is a Per-Diem Urgent Care physician, at Southern California Permanente Medical Group, Riverside, CA. He is Chair of the House of Delegates Committee and a Member of the Education Committee of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California.  He is a Member of the Bureau of Osteopathic Education and a Delegate, for the State of California, and California Delegation Chair of the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Eileen Conaway, DO, is a graduate of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, and the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), Blacksburg, VA. She is board certified in Family Medicine and OMT (AOBFP), and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (AOBNMM). She is also an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  Dr. Conaway completed her internship and residency in Integrated Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Florida Hospital - East Orlando (FHEO), Orlando, FL. She currently practices at Tidelands Health Family Medicine in Myrtle Beach, SC. Her research currently includes the Osteopathic Manipulation to Increase Lactation (OMILQ) and she is the Principal Investigator, investigator-initiated. Memberships include: AOA, AAO, ACOFP, FOMA, FSACOFP, STFM, ABM.

CME:   40.00 credits AOA Category 1-A CME provided by Osteopathy’s Promise to Children. Application for CME credit has been filed by the Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education (IABLE) with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). The AAFP has reviewed Introduction to the Osteopathic Approach to the Nursing Dyad and deemed it acceptable for up to 40.00 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 07/08/2022 to 07/12/2022. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This course has been allocated  40(L) CERPs recognized by IBLCE. Long Term Provider #117-04.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). This education program is designed to provide CME for osteopathic physicians and other health care professionals who practice OMM/OMT. 

Osteopathy’s Promise to Children (OPC)  is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
 

Osteopathy’s Promise to Children (OPC) designates this activity for a maximum of 40 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity. This is OMM/OMT/OPP activity and as such is part of the profession and exempt from the AOA practice gap analysis requirement.

Application for CME credit has been filed by the Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

OPC Scholarships:  A limited number of $500 Scholarships are available in honor of Dr. Viola M. Frymann, DO during her Centennial Celebration Year.

AAPO Scholarships: A limited number of $400 Scholarships are available to members of the American Academy of Pediatric Osteopathy (AAPO).

To apply for a Scholarship:

Scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis. Registration/purchase must be made by June 1, 2022. 

Apply in writing to: cme@the-promise.org. Include a statement about why this course is important to your education or training. Is there a knowledge gap (clinicians don’t know something; a competence gap (clinicians don’t know how to do something);  performance gap (clinicians are not doing something in practice) or something else? Include AAPO membership details in application if applicable.

COVID-19 Requirements and Guidelines for Live Courses

COVID-19: Osteopathy’s Promise to Children is committed to taking care of Osteopathic Center San Diego patients, staff and learners. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 prevalence and may adjust live course attendance limits as necessitated by CDC, public health and other relevant guidelines.

Requirements and Guidelines for Live (In-Person) Course and Conference Attendees at Osteopathy’s Promise to Children (OPC) Events:

● Please review all applicable state and local COVID-19 travel restrictions, guidance, and resources before traveling to your course destination.

● Attendees are required to comply with all live course requirements and guidelines below.

● Attendees must attest that they will comply with all safety requirements and that they understand the inherent risk associated with being within groups of people in an indoor setting.

● All attendees are required to be vaccinated and at least single boosted.

● Face masks will be required indoors during instructional periods, however there may be brief periods of removal as required by the curriculum. Shields will be available for students during these periods of face mask removal for those who wish it.

● Appropriate face masks include N-95, KN-95, or KF-94 masks. A face covering/face mask DOES NOT include a scarf, ski mask, balaclava, bandana, gaiter, turtleneck, collar, plastic face shield, or cloth masks. Appropriate face masks will be available on request, if needed.

● Attendees of courses must agree to daily testing. Daily COVID-19 testing will be administered to all participants and faculty and everyone must have a negative test result each day of instruction.

● If a positive COVID-19 test result of any kind was received within the past 90 days, attendees must attest it has been at least 10 days since COVID-19 infection, and they are currently asymptomatic.

● If attendees become symptomatic or test positive during the event they must immediately appropriately isolate, seek medical or supportive care, notify the office at cme@the-promise.org, and follow all local, state and federal guidelines.

Requirements and guidelines are in effect until further notice and may be amended or evolve as Federal, State and County guidance is modified in response to the current public health environment. This guidance will be in effect until further notice.
