Sutherland, D.O., the book discusses the physiology and anatomy of the primary respiratory mechanism, its function in health, and changes that occur during disease processes. It provides practical exercises for developing the palpatory skills needed for this form of manipulation, along with other pertinent information such as functional anatomy, articulations, and physiologic motion of the various components of this mechanism. The text includes clear descriptions of the osteopathic techniques for treatment of the primary respiratory system.
